I have read over and over again on these forums about the state of the trichomes producing different results depending on their colour. Cloudy for head high, amber for body stone. This is confusing me greatly.

I have always taken it as read, that Sativa's get you High, and Indica's get you stoned. Are you guys saying that it doesn't matter if you have a Sativa or Indica, it's the amount of time you flower for that makes the difference?

If so this goes against everything I know about Marijuana. Please can someone clear this up for me.
wow I forgot that i posted the stuff Jangel...it is good to reread it...

In case that is too much for anyone to read how about this as a genralization of the general consensus about this subject at this time

in genral yes sativas tend toward head hight and indicas tend to produce a body stone

but time of harvest is also a factor...early harvest may have less potency but THC has not degraded to other canabinoids that are responsible for the body stone effect...MJ has a number of cannabinoids but THC is only one and a few others have their own effects and can also have a synergystic effect with the THC

you can see the trics move from clear to cloudy to amber under the microscope as the plant matures and the cannabinoid ratios change

so early sativa for the most headly high
and late indica for the most stupifying stone

my personal experience tends to reinforce this belief but I am mindful that my expectations effect the type of high also...I would love to see objective research on this....slim chance of that in the current legal climate
