I've tried the early/late harvest thing, and with my strain, really only notice a taste difference, not the psychoactive results. Of course, Cinderella99 is famous for a trippy soaring high, and doesnt disappoint. I've never experienced the 'couchlock' affect from her unless it's from a tincture from her flowers. Of course, other strains will differ a great deal.
your right brussels, not al strains are this predictable and i gereralised somewhat. but unless you get in real close to view the trichomes etc. this is the general rule i go by since im used to outdoor growing and sometimes its a race between the pistil maturation/bud ripeness and the weather as any outdoor grower will tell you. its not as simple outdoors.
generaly when i harvest, the whole crop goes at the same time, i dont like to have to return to harvest latecomers, some plants WILL be more mature than others. but by my general rules i know that with my strains if Most of them are in the JUST RIPE stage some will be over that mark and others will be under that mark, so ill have varied highs. i do look at the trichome though, and seperate the diferent plants depending on trichome maturity... but as i said weather is important (or was) for me. indoor you can be alot more exact with this.

of course this is just my way of going about it.

peace
ive gotta try that c99, it looks delicious

ps. if you go see my albums i think theres a pic of my buds ant their amber trichome.. heheh
