Sounds good so far. Do you have much leakage of medium into trays? I am thinking of doing a similar setup. I think I am gonna experiment with rock wool cubes, clay pellets and some soil less mixtures. I currently hand feed into a few different soil less mediums and I love it.
Getting your ppm's right can be quite tricky. I would experiment a little, maybe do some a little less than 1200 ppm. I have had some strains that hate anything above 900 ppm and get burned real quick. If you are not having burned or curled leaves, I would say you are fine.
I would get co2 rockin before you start flowering. I bet you will see a substantial increase in yield. I would say at least 15% - 30%. It kind of depends on other restricting agents within your setup. Co2 causes the plants to grow healthier. It will not really make your thc more potent but it will create a healthier and stronger plant that will in theory produce more healthier bigger flowers. Does this make sense? You could get a co2 generator or just buy a 20lb co2 tank and get it filled at the local welding shop. Buy a regulator for around $175 and run some laser line above your plants, this will help release co2 above your plants as it is heavier than air and will settle on the plants. I release a little bit in 15 minute intervals above all my flowering plants. I know this is not the most efficient way to fill your room but I find that the few hundred I spend on co2 each month is very much worth it in the long run. If I was in a barn or shop, I would convert to a burner in a heartbeat.
Hope this helped a little. Good luck and be safe!!! |
