I understand your point Fman...
However, crack heads will be crack heads, and meth heads will be meth heads whether it is legal or not. Just like we continue to grow our own weed at the risk of our own freedom...
Instead of wasting our tax dollars by harassing our citizens and tossing junkies in jail... I think the resources that are being wasted on this war on drugs could be put to better use elsewhere, while the revenue generated from a regulated industry could actually do many of us some good, while at the same time getting it out of the hands of the street thugs that currently plague our society. We could do away with the the "gangsta" drug dealers & have licensed dispensaries take their place. The prices would drop and the typical crack whore wouldn't have to spend so much time on her back to get her fix... Prolly a poor choice of words, but I hope ya get my drift. Instead of hiding in dark alleys & condemned buildings sharing needles and spreading AIDS, the junkie could be provided with pre-measured, sealed, single dose units with retractable needles that could be discarded safely.
I'm personally against the hard drugs myself. All I do is MJ.
I'm simply voicing a possible solution to a problem that we all face.
I'm not saying that we'll turn into a "Utopian society" or anything like that... I've just become more of a pragmatist as I get older. The gov will never stop it, so they might as well embrace it... And, tax it...
