AC current is kinnda like waves in the ocean. Analog equipment is not too picky about the waves coming to shore as long as they are 5' high with a certain low point, all the chop in the middle, analog equipment could care less about. So I suppose ISO is saying that a generator puts out crappy, hurricane waves that analog equipment can use but not Digital, a power conditioner cleans up all the chop inbetween sets..
