Outstanding! I haven't done it this way, but similar. Also, I sometimes bend the tallest stems until it cracks and lays over. As long as it's done gently, and the stem doesn't break off, the bend will heal and the cola will reach for the light in a matter of hours, but the overall height is reduced. I do this to keep the canopy even. I guess I'm just getting too lazy.
