Wink My Outdoor Odyssey ~ 2008

Hi folks. Just starting this to help other outdoor growers in this season of the green ! This is just a opener as I am in the midst of planting my babies outside. To see the rough start these guys have had please see my journal. The link is on the page. I will add to this as time permits. Here are some pics to start it off. GOOD GROWIN' FRIENDS!

First few shots are of my first lot of girls. Taken May 26. Last of the girls taken 2 days ago. And our fleet and my ride! (the Deere! My baby!)

I had these on 24 hours of light, put them in total dark once I was sure of sex, and left them there for 4 days. This means they are saying "WTF!!!! Winter! Pack on the bud!" or at least I hope so. They are all in flower now. Also see the soil mix I am using. I must thank Shaman for his guidance, whether he knew it or not! Please check out his log "the Native way in Burlap bags" I could not get the burlap bags but I did use his recommendation and a few of my own. My soil mix is :
1 large bag promix
1 small bag sheep poop(well composted)
1/2 bag seaweed compost.

I have mixed this all up, with a pitch fork, and have used this for 3 plants, using a bushel basket sized amount per plant. As I am planting I am throwing in a couple of handfulls of bone meal and a small amount of blood meal to encourage bloom. (half a handful, my hand, not a large man hand!! I am only little! LOL!) This is very hot so use it sparingly as it can burn the roots. I am also watering them in well. Most of my soil is well wet as I put it out before the thunderstorms of the last couple of days. All of this will be well mulched with leaves in the forest to keep the water where you want it, not drying up. You can add to this as it breaks down. Okay, here we go and OFF I go to plant now!

Peace!
