Built me a new cloner yesterday, and it was a day of "trial and error", for sure.
Goal was to make a 15 spot aeroponic cloner (like the EZ Cloner). For equipment I used a
Mag Drive 700 pump, and fed that directly into the sprayer ass'y.
To make a Loonnnngggg day (and story) short, I ended up making it out of a 36 qt. Coleman cooler, as I could not keep anything else from leaking due to the amount of spray coming up. (the spray strength is not excessive, but with 15 of the
EZ Clone misters working there is a lot of water being sent in the air).
Functioning like a champ in the cooler...except that I went out this morning and checked the water temp in the cloner (4 gal is all it could hold and not have the sprayer ass'y setting too high) and the water temp was 83 F.
Now, the roots are not directly in that water, but it is being sprayed on them. I am wondering if the water cools, sufficiently, while airborne and en-route to the roots?
Biggest concern...how warm can that water get before it's too hot. I see no way to make a separate res. and drain the excess from the cooler back to the res.

To me it's too hot already...but I await the wisdom of the board for a final determination...
