wrong, you can get meters for as little as $20 - even big names as Hanna, a Milwaukee will start around $30. don't shop for those at hydro stores but places that sell lab stuff or look at ebay for a seller that have em on "BuyItNow" >> hanna tester, Tools, Gardening Plants items on eBay.com

and don't forget to buy some calibration/buffer solution for calibration along with it! with 40 bucks you can cover all material for the next 3 years - and you are more accurate then with paper strips or drip kits besides that a meter is cheaper on the long run anyway. Oh, and don't buy buffer in packs but always in bottles, you safe a lot that way too.
