ime soil needs warmer temps to activate rooting in clones for the first couple days then cutting the temp back down to the mid 70s at the root zoon...now for hydro aero if im not mistaken the higher temps are unneccary as the plants roots are exposed to open air an water so roots are faster forming as is..but raiging the temp in the root zome to the 80 mark could cause many problems incuding root rot an other bad bactieras's...but like i said try what ever you feel..ijust respond to see what i know for my own knowdldge an experiernece....peace az
