sure you can grow from a single seed as Video said, the chances that it turns out to be famale is about 50%.
the problem could be that your seeds are old as you state, and i don't know how well they been stored in those years. so you might have to try a few till you get lucky.

Also, regarding this above you should prepare yourself well for the grow, stating by optimizing the your chances to spruce a seed. in my eyes you can do so by using peat pellets along with a dome, heating of this in some way and a cloning hormone. this all speeds up sprucing and reduces the risk of a blank run by killing a seed.
