I couldn't find any glass ones, anywhere in the city we live near. Checked 5 big dept stores (wal mart type) and found some at a big linen and stuff store. they had stainless ones, porcelan ones and these acrylic ones I bought. I REALLY wanted glass, but I do already have 1 quart and 6 of the pint sized glass lock-down lid type of jar, and thought these might do Ok also.
Any problems with acrylic? It has to be better than soft plastic, but I don't know about flavor issues, etc.
Thanks in advance...

No, plastic is not a cool place to cure in - as daddy told me once:
"son, the only got bear comes from a glass bottle!" and so is there with glass jars too
but if you really can't find any jars, go online and order some from ikea, i use those too.
IKEA | Kitchen organizers | Jars, tins & food savers | SLOM | Jar with lid
i use those 17oz and 60-70oz ones - they are great, and not just for pot!
