Police Raid House Police Raid House, Mistake Hibiscus for Marijuana Plant Blair Davis, a landscape contractor, got a knock at the door of his home around 2 p.m. Tuesday. But before Davis could open the door, it was busted in, and he was looking down the barrel of a gun.
10 narcotics officers came into Davis' home, guns drawn, looking for marijuana plants. What Davis was growing wasn't marijuana, but hibiscus plants. Texas Star hibiscus plants slightly resemble marijuana, but hibiscus plants have white buds on them.
Apparantly, one of his neighbors thought Davis was growing marijuana, and called police. After an hour of searching and grilling by police, they left the house. "No apology, no nothing", Davis replied.
