Was just thinking of this same thing yesterday (as I moved the fridge in the garage to clean) taht it wold be a cool way for a stealth grow right in the garage.
A fridge has a lot of built in goodies that would be helpful..racks, insulation.....made to order! Just get the power, air in and out and a good lock and you are all set!
