Never really thought about it I just do it.

After cloning (even still under humidity domes) they are immediately put under t5's at 18/6. I keep the t5's at their lowest light level and increase after about a week.

Even clones are started out with a diluted mix of ferts. (those roots are tender). And I try to be careful not to fert. at every feeding.

I check the leaves on a regular basis for things like spider mites. Those little buggers can clip in almost anywhere.

I keep one fan on the plants while they are small. The air movement encourages strong stems and helps discourage some plant diseases that thrive in stagnent conditions.

As the plants become bigger in the veg stage I like to add a second fan if possible. This one is added at a different angle. Depending on the temp/humidity you can now turn on one or both.
