With out the medical marijuana he grew himself, the whole battle with getting cured would of been unbareble. There was absolutely no negative side affects by useing marijuana, then theres the side affects from the chemical drugs they gave him., his liver is shot pretty much. I know he needed the doctors perscribed treatment and he also needed the weed.
My second thought was, I am sure just being in prison will make anyones health slide back let alone what it does to serious ill people. Now don't think me uncaring but, I am pretty sure there are so many sick preople outside the prison walls who can't get marijuana for themselves for what ever reason, it's free people who need it. I say how can it be right to give the prisoners the chance to use the medical marijuana when so many, who did no crime could use a little help, you know like the ones who can't even get legal or the ones who can't afford it or the ones who have unjustly been found guilty for using her much needed mmj... I as a tax payer wants to get it legal for every one out side the walls before I pay for the prisoners. Just my thoughts |
Hello Deb, my suggestion of this is due primarily because it would be a controlled environment that could provide peer review documentation.
Besides, if it showed beneficial results in state prison systems, perhaps it could be expanded to the Federal prison system.
While I am sure some would benefit from the ability to procure and consume marijuana while in prison, the opportunity to study the applicability in a captured population would be much easier to document than the public at large.
Federal Laws won't ever be changed without the availability of peer reviewed documentation which can be brought before Congress.
California has had a medical marijuana program for how many years?
How many doctors have come forward with case studies on this topic?
