Default A Joint a Day Keeps the Doctor Away ?

I had a very interesting conversation with an individual tonight.
He has Hepatitis C and told me how well his consumption of Marijuana controls this disease.
Currently he is on parole for some crime he committed, therefore he is unable to consume marijuana due to the random drug testing policies in place. As a result, his health is failing.
He also told me of a very compelling set of examples that show proof positive how well marijuana manages the symptoms of this disease.
He told me that prior to his being arrested, convicted and incarcerated, his symptoms were under control and actually his test results were better than normal, uninfected persons. While in prison, he underwent regimented medical testing in maintenance of his illness. He told me that increasingly his test results would show that the symptoms increasingly were getting worse. Each tests results were worse than the previous one.

If this is true, we as a medical marijuana community might have a golden opportunity to conduct a research study on this issue among the prison population.
Can we assemble a body of evidence which would point to deteriorating health among the prison population due to the restriction of marijuana use?

Would you like to join in such a project?
How can we assemble such evidence on a national level, showing that there is a correlation between health and the restriction of medical marijuana in this population?
